Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Horae Ops (“Horae”, “we”) collects, uses and protects personal data when businesses and their staff use Horae through horae.cloud, the Horae WhatsApp number and www.horae.cloud. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.
1. Our role
When a business (our “Customer”) uses Horae for its staff, the Customer decides what information goes in, and we process it on the Customer’s behalf to provide the Service. For our own sales, billing and website enquiries, we decide how data is used.
2. Data we collect
- Account details: name, mobile number, email address (optional), role, department and workspace.
- Work content: tasks, comments, notes, reminders, meetings, checklists, notices, projects, training results, photos and voice notes that Users send or upload.
- WhatsApp messages exchanged with the Horae WhatsApp number, and their delivery and read status.
- Technical data: device notification tokens, login sessions and basic logs used to keep the Service secure and working.
- Billing details: business name, address and payment records. Card and bank details are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
3. How we use it
- To provide the Service: logins, assigning and tracking work, reminders, notifications and reports.
- To send work notifications on WhatsApp and as app notifications.
- To transcribe voice notes and translate or transliterate messages when Users ask for it.
- To bill Customers, provide support, keep the Service secure and fix problems.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run Horae, under confidentiality and security obligations:
- Supabase — database and hosting (data stored in the Mumbai, India region)
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — sending and receiving WhatsApp messages
- Web hosting providers (such as Vercel or Cloudflare) — serving the website and app
- AI and language service providers — voice transcription, translation and transliteration
- Razorpay — payment processing
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. How long we keep it
- Business records (tasks, checklists, training and similar) are kept while the Customer’s account is active, so the Customer keeps its history.
- WhatsApp message logs are deleted after about 7 days; in-app notifications after about 90 days.
- After an account ends, data may be exported for 30 days and is then deleted, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and each Customer’s data is kept separate from other Customers’.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by contacting your employer’s Horae admin or us.
- You can stop WhatsApp notifications through your workspace admin; some work features may then be unavailable.
- The app uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Children
Horae is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
10. Privacy questions and complaints
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email hello@horae.cloud with the subject “Privacy”. We respond within 7 days.
